SUPPLY LIST:

  • *1 Canvas/ 16x20 or any size ,just not to big at first.
  • *Turpeniod for thinning and cleaning (Start with a small bottle)
  • *2 plastic jars, like a peanut butter container for liquids.
  • *Paper towels
  • *Paper for covering table
  • *box of non- latex gloves, to protect hands. Or a cheaper route is one set of Playtex gloves             
  • *Brushes: 1.   #12 Flat for Oils
  • #8 Flat rounded head for oils
  • #3 with round tip for oils
  • Pallet knife Large with a semi rounded tip (preferably metal)
    • Jar with dawn detergent
  • *Colors for the oils palette:                                                               
  • Titanium White (large Tube)
  • Cobalt Blue
  • French Ultramarine Blue
  • Payne’s Gray
  • Black
  • Cadmium Red
  • Yellow Ochre
  • Burnt Sienna
  • Cadmium Yellow
  • Sap Green
  • Alkyd Glazing Medium ready to use for oils (A must to help the drying process so to work on it every week)
  • Blick   studio oils are the most economical. You can order on line at   800-447-8192 .
  • Order the oils on pg .31 individual small tubes are about $4.07 each or you can order the Blick Studio oil sets .

Mio Brown Street has a degree from The College of Du Page for Commercial Art , Design and Illustration, where shemaintained a 4.0 average grade. She teaches art at the Community College of Lake County, Adlai Stevenson High School, Montessori School and privately.
