The Shakespeare Project continues its exploration of Shakespeare’s contemporaries when we present this rarely seen Jacobean middle-class tragedy play by Thomas Heywood, who is believed to have written over 200 plays. The play, considered by many to be Heywood’s masterpiece, tells the story of Anne Frankford, a newly married wife, who makes a life-changing choice and its devastating repercussions.
