Family Day at Clarke House Museum

The City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) is hosting a free family event in Chicago Women's Park & Gardens, site of Clarke House Museum at 1827 S. Indiana Avenue.

This one day event will showcase domestic and family life in 1850s Chicago. Living historians will present aspects of life during Chicago’s early years. Interactive stations include: dance instruction, laundry, foodways and preservation, mothering and childcare, butter-making, rug-hooking, knitting and crochet, dress making, period toys and games, mercantile goods and much more.
