Beekeeping in Chicago: Barriers & Benefits

  • November 10, 2012
  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Chicago Center for Green Technology

John Christman, the head beekeeper for the CCGT, will discuss how to arrange and select a location, obtain a permit, purchase equipment, order honeybees and a queen, and become a beekeeper in the City of Chicago. A discussion of the main benefits of, and obstacles to, urban beekeeping will help you decide if beekeeping is 'right' for you.
