Mind Mapping

Learn a New Technique for Organizing Thoughts

Presented by Friends of the Gifted (FRoG) of Downers Grove

Mind mapping strengthens & improves memory, prioritizes the level of importance attached to ideas, engages the mind mapper in pattern building, & using primarily visual images plus key words. Your child will be the central topic of our mind map. Parents will be able to share this engaging technique with their child after the session.

Mind mapping affects student achievement, training the mind in non-linear or divergent thinking. Research on nonlinguistic representations shows how generating mental pictures to go along with information and ideas enhance learning.

Join us as Sharon Landgraf introduces participants to this exciting and powerful accelerated learning technique.  Sharon was a Teacher of the Gifted for many years in DG58, and had the wonderful opportunity of working with students, parents, adminstrators and educators of all grade levels.

Free, but registration required.  See FRoG web site for details: http://www.dgfrog.org/
