Art and Literature in Nature

  • May 11, 2013
  • 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
  • Barrington, IL

Join local artist Denise Devereux Peters, poet Edith Maynard, and clay artist Elizabeth Zweiner

for a afternoon of art and literature outside in nature at Citizens for Conservation’s own beautiful Flint Creek Savanna.

While surrounded by a gorgeous prairie savanna, old oak trees, birds singing, butterflies fluttering, and grasses rustling in a spring breeze, participants may choose to express their creativity by learning to paint nature’s beauty using watercolor pens, to write nature-related poems, or to create a masterpiece in clay. Please dress for the weather.

This class is open to children ages 5 and up

Caregivers are required to attend. CFC members are free. Non-members pay $5.00 for the first child and $1.00 for each additional child.

Class is limited to thirty participants and COMPLETED REGISTRATION FORMS ARE DUE MAY 4.
