Growing Innovative, Introspective, and Inspiring Leaders

 

Presenters: Kate Bachtel, M.Ed. and Eric Robertson, Ed.S.

 

Gifted children’s thoughts, feelings and ideas can be deep and complex; we guide in bridging their rich inner lives with the outside world. This presentation will support parents and educators in sharpening their ability to be responsive to the variety of factors influencing each child’s development to increase student self-understanding, engagement and achievement. Topics will include: Nurturing the strength-aspects of sensitivities Helping youth realize the value in all feelings and the data feelings provide Studying leadership through the lenses of culture and context Cultivating creativity and collaboration Learning about systems and planting seeds to support empowerment and sociopolitical development Providing channels for students to take action to affect positive change in the world and create meaning in their lives Modeling a Growth Mindset We aim to support gifted learners in revealing the majesty of their true selves while also fostering feelings of connection and interdependence. We believe that each child has a unique life path and that when illuminated we all shine brighter.

Registration required, $40 fee which includes access to recorded SENGinar.
