Anxiety and worry are common during childhood and can impact the entire family. Join Andrea Victor, Ph.D. as she discusses the importance of understanding and recognizing anxiety in children. Parents will also learn strategies to help their children better manage their anxiety.
Barbara Resnick has spent the last 10 years advocating for families to assure their children receive the necessary supports from their private or public school. Her presentation will explain the mandated supports available and how parents can work collaboratively with schools to secure the appropriate services. Response to Intervention, IEPs and 504 Plans, and Service Plans will be covered.

It is important for parents to understand what is typical to expect, identify indications of more significant mood concerns, and determine how best to respond to their child or adolescent. Amanda Weigel, Psy.D. invites all to attend this event in order to discuss and learn more about how to address sadness throughout their childrens’ development.
Executive Function skills impact student performance across all subject areas in school, social situations, and at home. Dr. Georgia Bozeday will present an overview of current research from neuroscience describing the impact of the 21st Century influences on students today, including information about recent findings related to media use and learning. Dr. Bozeday will provide recommendations for parents as they work with their children to develop strategies for improved organization and time management skills.
