Does your highly intelligent child surprise you by her inability to keep track of assignments or plan out her work or even just turn in already completed homework on time? Does putting away her folded laundry seem like an overwhelming task?  Does her room always look like it was hit by a tornado unless you intervene?  These are just a few executive function skills that can cause otherwise brilliant people to struggle.  Come join us for a discussion of executive function: what it is, how it develops and what to do in the mean time!

Amanda Vogel is the Vice President of Nurturing Wisdom Tutoring and the director of Nurturing Wisdom Academy, a private school in Hinsdale.  She has a Master’s degree in special education and over twelve years of experience in teaching, writing curriculum, and supporting educators.  She developed Nurturing Wisdom’s extensive executive functioning curriculum for both their tutoring and school programs.

We hope you can join us!

You may park in front or in the Zion Church parking lot across Second Street from the school.
