Lakeshore Ecology
Shedd Aquarium

Behind the scenes at Shedd or right outside Shedd's doors, students apply problem-based learning to discover whether the lake is fit to hold an exhibit for Shedd animals. Students explore exhibit habitats and measure the health of an aquatic system by performing water-quality tests. They are then challenged to use their results to determine whether they would recommend that Shedd design an exhibit in the lake.

We will meet at the Group Entrance on the south side of the oceanarium.  We will enter the aquarium as a group at 9:00am. Lab fees include the student's basic admission to the Shedd Aquarium.

Ages 10-14. The lab is designed for 6th to 8th grade.

Cost: $13 for members, $16 for nonmembers.
No refunds.

Please register by January 12, 2014.

Please contact tamaragrady@chicagogiftedcommunity.org with any questions.
