CAF Teen Studio: Engineering Day

  • February 22, 2014
  • 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Illinois Institute of Technology

Chicago Architecture Foundation Teen Studio

Saturdays in the Studio: Engineering Day

We will work with several engineers from firms across Chicago to explore multiple problems that architects and civil engineers work on throughout our built environment.

Fun, engaging, hands-on structural design challenges are the goals of our Engineering Week Teen Studio held at IIT College of Architecture’s Crown Hall. The studio is facilitated in partnership with IIT engineering and architecture students and instructors as well as professional mentors from Chicago area engineering offices.

Activities are designed to encourage teens to approach design challenges in new ways and push their creative boundaries to develop unique solutions alongside CAF Mentors who are practicing professional engineers, architects, and designers.

Cost: FREE with registration
Location: Crown Hall at the Illinois Institute of Technology, 3360 S State St Chicago 60616
