Children's Poetry Day: Poetry and Adventure

  • April 26, 2014
  • 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
  • Poetry Foundation, Chicago

Celebrate National Poetry Month with a delightful open house just for kids at the Poetry Foundation Library. In addition to musical adaptations of poems by Adventure Sandwich and screenings of children’s films programmed by the Nightingale, this special weekend event will feature interactive activities including a scavenger hunt and a chance to explore the world of visual surprise through art making with staff from the Art Institute of Chicago’s museum education department. Refreshments will be provided courtesy of Whole Foods.

The event is best suited to children aged 13 and under. Please note that the Poetry Foundation will be open only to children and their parents or guardians during this event.

Free admission.  Click here for complete details.
