Scratch Day

  • May 17, 2014
  • 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • West Ridge Elementary School, Chicago

Scratch Day is a global event initiated by MIT for people who enjoy Scratch to get together to learn more about Scratch and create with Scratch. At Scratch Day - Chicago, we have sessions for students who already know Scratch as well as sessions for beginners. We also have sessions for K-12 teachers or any other adults who want to learn Scratch and techniques for teaching with Scratch.

Scratch is a programming environment created by MIT and introduced in 2007. It allows young people to create stories, animations, games, music and art while developing 21st century literacy skills. It is free and has a large community of users around the world. The Scratch community and its 3.3 million (and counting) Scratch projects can be found at the Scratch web site.

Admission is free and no prior registration is required. Click here for complete details.
